Make-Up ARTIST AWARD 2026: A Big Stage For Creative Minds
BEAUTY Düsseldorf will once again celebrate the creative diversity of the make-up community in 2026. Following its successful premiere, the Make-up ARTIST AWARD is entering its second round – with even more space for talent, craftsmanship and individual expression.
Make-up artists from around the world can now apply online for the Make-up ARTIST AWARD 2026 at “With this competition, we are promoting a new generation of make-up talents who set trends and tell stories through their distinctive looks,” says Hannes Niemann, Director of BEAUTY Düsseldorf.
Focus on Creativity, Skill, and Personality
The Make-up ARTIST AWARD is aimed at anyone who lives their passion for make-up – whether self‑taught artists or professionals. Originality, courage, and technical perfection are essential. The competition offers make‑up artists the ideal opportunity to demonstrate their skills live and showcase their unique signature style.
Creative Hub of the International Make-up Scene
The award is much more than a classic contest: it is widely regarded as a meeting place for the global make‑up community and is one of the absolute highlights of BEAUTY Düsseldorf 2026. Creative minds, visionary talents, and seasoned professionals come together to exchange ideas, learn from one another and celebrate the industry’s diversity.
Participants can look forward to an inspiring beauty experience featuring exciting live contests, panel talks with industry insiders, practical workshops led by top professionals, exclusive meet & greets, a professional campaign shoot with the finalists and high-energy DJ sessions. A dedicated chill lounge for networking and Brand Partner Stations with the latest beauty products complete the programme.
Competition Process
A panel of experts will select 50 participants from all applications to present themselves live at the trade fair. In the first live competition, the “Top 50 Face Offs” taking place Friday, 20 March 2026, five groups of ten artists each will compete against one another. They will have just 30 minutes to create a distinctive signature look.
The ten best make‑up artists will qualify for the grand “Top 10 Final” on Sunday, 22 March 2026. Here, a predefined theme must be interpreted creatively and executed with technical perfection. The finalists will present their work before an independent expert jury and the BEAUTY audience.
Glamour & Great Emotions: The Award Ceremony Show
The crowning finale is the festive Award Ceremony Show on Sunday – presented by two influential figures in the beauty industry: Loni Baur and Ahmed Mnissi.
Loni Baur has been one of Europe’s leading make‑up artists for many years and is renowned for her work at international Fashion Weeks and in campaigns for global brands. Ahmed Mnissi gained widespread recognition as the winner of the first German season of “Glow Up” and now works for TV productions, fashion brands and public personalities. Together, they will guide the audience through the evening with expertise and passion for make‑up artistry.
The highlight of the show is the presentation of the main prize: the winner will receive the exclusive opportunity to accompany a campaign shoot with a renowned beauty photographer and a well‑known make‑up brand. The runners‑up will also receive high‑quality prizes.
