A Resort Like No Other: Women Lead the Way at Club Mahindra Goa
Club Mahindra has been a leader in sustainable and responsible luxury. Many of its 14 resorts have either achieved net zero in energy, water and waste or are close to getting there.
Club Mahindra announced that it has transformed its Acacia Palms resort in Goa into an all-women-run property. From resort operations to guest services, every aspect of the resort is managed by the women’s team. Many women employees come from diverse hospitality backgrounds, with several of them stepping into roles for the first time in areas such as security, engineering, general technicians (electrical, mechanical), horticulture, food production and kitchen stewarding.
The resort is partnering with local women entrepreneurs and artisans to integrate their skills and products into the resort offerings, promoting community upliftment and sustainable development. To Tanvi Choksi, Chief Human Resources Officer, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited, true inclusion goes beyond intent. She said, “By building an ecosystem where women can thrive, grow, and lead across functions—including roles that have traditionally been male-dominated like engineering, security, and kitchen stewarding—we are not only delivering a distinctive guest experience.
India’s First Triple Net Zero Resort
Club Mahindra Madikeri has been recognised as India’s first Triple Net Zero-rated resort by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). A company note stated that this is a rare distinction, benchmarking Net Zero Energy, Net Zero Water, and Zero Waste to Landfill, placing it among the world’s most eco-responsible destinations.
Spanning lush landscapes in the heart of Coorg, this resort is a living example of how tourism and sustainability can coexist through green architecture, regenerative practices, and biodiversity conservation.
The IGBC Platinum Certification is one of the highest accolades in the green building sector, signifying excellence in energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and the use of sustainable materials. The note adds that Club Mahindra’s 14 resorts have met the stringent criteria established by IGBC.
Club Mahindra has committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2040. Mahindra Holidays is India’s first hospitality company to join the global RE100 and EP100 campaigns.
