In tragic incident, young woman dies of electrocution at New Delhi railway station

New Delhi railway station electrocution incident: Police said that initial report revealed that it was raining and the victim, Sakshi Ahuja, lost her balance while walking towards the station and grabbed an electricity pole when she came in contact with some exposed wires.
A young woman died of electrocution after accidentally coming in contact with a live wire at the New Delhi Railway Station complex today as monsoon arrived in the national capital. News agencies, citing police, said that unfortunate incident happened near exit gate number 1 of New Delhi Railway Station when the 43-year-old victim was going to board a train to Chandigarh.
The deceased has been identified as Sakshi Ahuja, a resident of Preet Vihar, Delhi. The woman is survived by her husban ..
“We were going to Chandigarh. I was in the parking area when I received the information that my daughter Sakshi Ahuja has died due to electrocution. This has happened due to the negligence of the concerned authority,” says Lokesh Kumar Chopra, father of the deceased woman, told news agency ANI.
The victim’s sister, Madhvi Chopra, gave a complaint alleging negligence on the part of the authorities concerned. A case under sections 287 (negligent conduct with respect to machinery) and 304 (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against unidentified persons and an investigation has been initiated, the police said. A crime team and experts from Forensic Science Laboratory Division (FSL) is probing the incident.
Delhi and its adjoining states witnessed heavy rainfall early morning today as the southwest monsoon advanced over Mumbai and Delhi bringing respite to people from heat. There were reports of waterlogging in several parts of Delhi and NCR.
“The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of Central Arabian Sea, some parts of north Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, some parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Haryana, remaining parts of Uttarakhand and most parts of Himachal Pradesh and some more parts of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, today,” the weather department said in its latest update.
